KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 (Malaysiaaktif) – Today’s youths are tomorrow’s leaders, as they are well-informed, outspoken and politically aware, but lacking in empowerment.
Recognising this, several NGOs have today taken the initiative to organise “The Malaysia Trailblazers Challenge 2015,” which aims to enhance the influence of youths in trailblazing their future by engaging them through various activities.
“Through this challenge you will see young Malaysians coming forward with ideas, which we may not have heard before – ideas where the perspective of youths will provide important information,” said Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin in his speech this morning.
According to Khairy, the Youth Trailblazers Challenge is a platform for youths to show their innovation and show how to grow a system of entrepreneurship.
This, he said, goes beyond what is being taught but can be used in solving challenges faced by big businesses today.
The event kick-off with a nationwide Boot camp Roadshow in the Klang Valley, followed by Penang and culminating in East Malaysia.
The Youth Trailblazers Challenge 2015 is jointly organised by Persatuan Perintis Malaysia and MAD Incubator.
The programme was officially launched by Khairy today
