An opportunity for IKBN Students to Pursue Dream Career

PUTRAJAYA, 14 August (Malaysiaaktif) –  The Ministry of Youth and Sports today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mercedes Benz Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MBM) to provide students at Youths Skill Training Institutes (IKBN) to land their dream jobs after successfully completing  the pilot programme.

The programme is designed to meet specified performance criteria for a full time permanent job at any location determined by MBM.

Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin said the programme will also provide training to three selected IKBN trainers

“After carrying out a thorough selection process via Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Sdn.Bhd assessment center, we had determined the three IKBN trainers selected for training” said the minister during his opening speech at Putrajaya today.

“The program participants are from IKBN Chembong, IKBN Dusun Tua, IKBN Temerloh, IKBN Kuala Perlis, IKBN Jitra, IKBN Bachok and IKBN Miri (with preference to IKBN Chembong and IKBN Dusun Tua)”

The minister also feels that the practical training offered is an opportunity for them gain needed skills and knowledge

“Assured internship and intensive training for 3 months in MBM’s Apprentice Training Centre is to provide participants with the required skills and specialised knowledge on daily operations in a planned and orderly and manner,” he said.
