KUALA LUMPUR, 25 Sept (Malaysiaaktif) – MIC president, Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam said his party has set up a special committee to supervise the spending of political money.
He said the committee was created to identify the people responsible behind acts of money politics.
“My advice to all MIC members is to refrain from any type of money politics, for which a specific committee has been formed to oversee the matter.
“Money politics in a party is something that should be stopped, as it can destroy any party in the country,” he said on his Facebook site on Thursday.
Dr Subramaniam, who is also Health Minister said the special committee was established to enhance unity among leaders in the party.
“As leaders we must place party interest above our personal agenda. for unity is strength,” he said.
Dr Subramaniam said the party will announce the committee’s complete structure soon.
