PKK, KVK Seals Collaboration

KOTA KINABALU, Dec 6 (Malaysiaaktif) – Kota Kinabalu Polytechnic (PKK) and Kudat Vocational College (KVK) signed a Certificate of Collaboration here at PKK campus this Wednesday morning.

PKK Director, Zainab Othman signed on behalf of PKK whilst KVK was represented by its Director, Christine Stanislaus Kinsik. The signing ceremony was witnessed by the top management of both organisations.

Zainab in her speech said, the collaboration of both parties include an agreement to work together on promotion of mutual understanding, sharing of technical expertise focusing on technical and vocational education and training (TVET).

“We look forward to a fruitful collaboration which include sharing of expertise and skills in relevant fields between both institutions, focusing especially on programmes related to the 4th Industrial Revolution,” she said.

Meanwhile, Christine in her opening remarks said that today’s signing event is a step forward towards many more collaboration to come.

“It is hoped that this collaboration will produce positive results especially in areas that will benefit the students of  both PKK and KVK with the aim of producing skilled and quality graduates,” she added.

KVK is one of eight vocational colleges in Sabah under the purview of the Ministry of Education. Previously known as Kudat Vocational Secondary School, it was upgraded to its current college status in 2013.

KVK offers nine diploma technical courses namely in construction technology, automative technology, cooling technology and air conditioning, electronic technology, electrical technology, business management and computer and network systems.

Present at the ceremony was Deputy Directors of Academics of  both institutions, Dullah Muluk of PKK and Ahmad Fakhrurazi Hamzah of KVK.
