The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is closely monitoring the eruption of Mount Raung in Banyuwangi, East Java, Republic of Indonesia, located about 120 km away from Bali. As of now, Malaysians residing in the affected areas, including students, are reported to be safe. Most of the students have returned to Malaysia for their semester break. The Embassy of Malaysia through Education Malaysia in Jakarta is in constant contact with our students.
